Basically, Noah's been going around telling boys that he'll hurt them if they ask Elle on a date. Not to mention the fact that he's threatening assault on people who did absolutely nothing. And that also plays a big theme throughout the book, but that's definitely not in the way it should. What should've happened is Elle should have stood up to Noah and told him to quit it, the fact that you can't te another person's life or dating life and it is not hot when someone does should've come into play, and many other discussions about it should've been held. Instead, Elle hasn't gone through a first kiss, first date, doesn't know how to most romantic kisses in books movie soundtrack on dates, etc.
I'm not sure this could've gotten any more shallow. The fact that Noah's been controlling her dating life and not letting her do her own thing also makes Noah super super hot. There were also moments when Noah would force Elle into kissint out or doing whatever else when she had clearly said no. And that is a big no-no. N-O Noah. Can you say it with me? Since it's quite obviously this book has shown he has no idea what the meaning of that word is. I'm not even going to begin to dive into these shallow, self obsessed characters and this cringe-worthy writing, but to put it shortly, they were awful. Long story short, I hated this book and will never recommend it to anyone unless of course they're looking for a book to compete with their least favorite book.
