Beth Reekles is an author and creator best known for her series The Kissing Booth, which was adapted into a series of hit Netflix movies. Community Reviews. Search review text. Couldn't even finish it, it was that bad. The girls "chirped" all the time, the guys smirked and threw punches, and there were typos all over the place. There was no character development and the whole thing just Don't read it. It was like reading poorly edited fanfiction. Allow me to explain. I didn't find this story on WattPad; my mom told me about how a 17 year old had gotten a 3-book deal with Random House after the publishing company found her story online. Because of the fact that it was the publishing house, itself, that contacted HER, I thought that what I was going to be reading would be better than what it was. Master of the Universe did not impress me when it was fan fiction, and since James didn't make any changes when she actually published, I don't like the actual book either.
There ARE some really great fanfic writers out there, who I think would be amazing if they wrote their own work. However, despite this being an original story, Reekles is NOT one of those online writers that actually has impressive potential unfortunately. Her story is way too cliched. In the case of The Kissing Booth, it's just one big cliche that repeats itself over and over again. I mean, all that happens is the following: Lee and Elle hang out Guys flirt with Elle without her realizing it Noah gets possessive and beats someone click Elle gets mad Noah and Elle fight Noah and Elle make up and then make out That process continually repeats itself over and over again.
There's no change that occurs. The constant whiplash of the two romantic leads was irritating, and for Elle making a huge deal about how she had never kissed a guy before, she sure jumped ship quickly when she slept with Noah after only making out with him once. I mean, really? And then, the next morning, she completely regrets it. Just, ugh I think I've made my point. First of all, the kissing booth 3 book goodreads book me say this: I get it. I understand why Elle fell for Noah. The hot bad boy who turned into a romantic guy.
A lot of aspects vooth changed. But still, the most important things were kept. The movie gave me chills. Elle was such a naive girl and Noah was so misunderstood. But they were so perfect for each other! At least in the book they were. On screen, Noah was way too tall! And Elle could have been prettier. Still, the klssing, the story: 5 stars! It really does turn people into saps. Can you imagine that this obssesion with the movie and the book started because I saw the movie trailer 3 days ago on Facebook?!

As always, Elle is a wonderful protagonist and Lee is such a hilarious and caring friend that anybody would want for a best friend! I loved the beach house novella due to the summer feels, so I definitely loved kissng being at the beach house in this one! And the summer bucket list is such a cute extra to this book!! Essential light read. There wasn't a great plot line in my opinion. I really appriciate how the author finished the story up. Reading this book has made me think a lot about my childhood, and my childhood memories. Lots of cussing, so I used a lot of whiteout. It was comforting to be back into Elle's story. It gets a little confusing with me mixing up what happened in the movies with what happened in the book. I'm excited to watch the kissung Essential light read. I'm excited to watch the movie! Why does this series have to end?!?!? Oct 18, Naomi rated it really liked it. I actually saw the movie before reading the book, which I don't normally do. I was worried reading the book wouldn't be the kissing booth 3 book goodreads book it because I had already seen the movie, but there were actually a lot of scenes that weren't in the movie, so I was never "bored" of reading the same story again. I liked this book because I do think it was a good ending to Elle, Lee, and Noah's stories. I think I give this book 2. I quite like The Kissing Booth stories. They are sweet and easy to read. But like the movie this was quite disappointing.
