And last but not least, we have the annoying secondary characters Beth, Suzanne, and Gregory. The only person who was tolerable was Beth. Suzanne and her thirst for Gregory annoyed me. I may have forgot to mention that Gregory is Ivy's stepbrother who's super shady.
I can't stress how much I hate when you have an amazing book, but the secondary characters usually best friends or siblings ruin everything. Also, I really liked Gary, Tristan's best friend, at first but he turned out to be a douche as well. Then he checked out Will, who was seated next to her, then Eric and Gregory. Ivy prickled. It wasn't as if she were on a date; still, she felt Gary's eyes accusing her. She toyed with a crayon, then nodded her head. Twinkie A girl that Gregory was also messing with. And yes, that's her real name. She promised herself a hundred times that she would go see them. She couldn't go to that house again, she couldn't! Who are you to judge someone for how they mourn a person's death, especially when they were the last to see them alive. This was her boyfriend, and she could've died with him.
It's not cool, at all! As I mentioned before I thought the plot for this book was pretty decent. I think the series will definitely pick up in the next couple of books, so this was a great setup. Overall, a great read. Wn 15, G rated it it was ok. I can't say it's a bad book exactly, but I can't say it's on my top10 either. The writing is sometimes a little dull, with overly dramatic comparisons that intend to kisesd romantic but end up being boring and plain weird. With that being said, most characters are extremely uninteresting, the main couple included. Make icelandic to how lip fact, the only characters that sounded somewhat promising were Gregory and Lacey.
